Jacaranda is India's leading literary agency and consulting company. Set up in 1997 by people passionate about the written word, Jacaranda covers the entire gamut of activities associated with publishing - from assessing manuscripts and editing , to handling the publicity and launches for our clients. Jacaranda also undertakes selective publishing of books. What sets Jacaranda apart from other literary agencies is the hands on approach to writers and their books.  Jacaranda has the ability to assist the writer in fine tuning their work to make it marketable to a publisher.  This style is unique to Jacaranda and has been much appreciated by both writer and publisher.

Jacaranda is currently celebrating its eleventh year in business.  Our vision has expanded to focus on writing not only within India, but within the Indian sub-continent and beyond.  We are proud of our association with writers from Bangladesh, China and Turkey. We have been relentless in getting visibility for our writers through the many book festivals world over that Jacaranda has participated in.  

Over the past decade, Jacaranda has been very successful as the catalyst between writer and publisher and has been instrumental in getting various written works published. "The Better Man" by Anita Nair gave Jacaranda its life, and since then, Jacaranda has had a relationship with Anita that has been very special. She has been our mentor and friend and has infused creativity and enthusiasm within our team. While the list of our other special writers is exhaustive, to name  a few : Shashi Warrier, Kiran Khalap, Gouri Dange, Tushar Gandhi, Greg Chappell, Karen Ma and Strahan Spencer. We have also worked extensively with the Subhas Ghosal Foundation and PETA.   

 

We, at Jacaranda attribute our decade long success to never losing sight of our philosophy and our mission.  Ours is a simple philosophy. We value our writers and their written word. Agency Associations

Jacaranda is associated with The Marsh Agency in the UK, which now makes it possible for us to represent works in India as well as internationally. We also have associations with agents in Sri Lanka, Greater China including Hong Kong and Taiwan, Australia and Russia.
